Credita analysis of the upper house of the Swiss parliament: MPs of FDP and CVP/EVP parties account for 73% of business mandates

Credita has analysed the number of business mandates taken by members of the upper house of the Swiss national assembly, the Council of States (Ständerat).

The analysis, that was based on the Swiss company register, shows that 73 percent of all mandates at companies, associations and trusts are taken by members of the parties FDP and CVP/EVP. In average, an MP of the Council of States has 6.7 business mandates, compared to 3.9 mandates for MPs of the lower house of the national assembly, the National Council of Switzerland (Nationalrat).
